The Honey Converter works by dividing grams of honey by 7.08 g per US teaspoon. Honey is about 1.42–1.44 g/mL, 44% heavier than water.
Oil the spoon
Coat the spoon with a drop of oil or warm water. Honey slides out without sticking.
Enter grams
Type the weight, such as 21 g for 1 tbsp.
Fill to the rim
Fill to the rim and scrape the spoon clean with a finger or spatula.
Honey Converter Formula
The Honey Converter formula is teaspoons = grams of honey ÷ 7.08.
tsp = g ÷ 7.08 | 1 tbsp = 21.24 g | 1 US cup ≈ 340 g
- 21 g of honey ÷ 7.08 = 2.97 tsp, about 1 tbsp.
- 10 g of honey ÷ 7.08 = 1.41 tsp, about 1 ⅜ tsp.
- ¼ cup of honey = 12 × 7.08 = 84.96 g.
