How Paprika Converter Works?

The Paprika Converter works by dividing grams of paprika by 2.3 g per level US teaspoon. Sweet, smoked and hot paprika all share about the same weight per spoon.

  1. Choose the style

    Sweet paprika adds colour, smoked paprika (pimentón) adds smoke, and hot paprika adds heat.

  2. Enter grams

    Type the weight, such as 10 g for a goulash.

  3. Level the spoon

    Level and add to oil off the heat. Paprika burns and turns bitter above 180 °C (356 °F).

Paprika Converter Formula

The Paprika Converter formula is teaspoons = grams of paprika ÷ 2.3.

tsp = g ÷ 2.3 | 1 tbsp = 6.9 g | ½ tsp ≈ 1.15 g

  • 10 g of paprika ÷ 2.3 = 4.35 tsp, about 1 ½ tbsp.
  • 3 g of smoked paprika ÷ 2.3 = 1.3 tsp, about 1 ⅓ tsp.
  • 2 tbsp of paprika = 13.8 g.
